Wireless Lavalier Microphone

A wireless lavalier microphone that plugs straight into a phone and works. There are no apps to install and no Bluetooth pairing to fight with, which matters when the reason you bought a microphone was to stop fiddling and start recording.

Latency is 9ms, low enough that audio stays locked to video without needing to be re-synced in editing. Transmission holds up to 20 metres, so the camera can stay on a tripod while you move around a room, a stage or a shop floor.

An intelligent noise reduction chip keeps the voice clear when the background is not. That is the difference between usable audio at a busy street market or a trade show and a recording that has to be thrown away. The 360 degree omnidirectional pickup means the mic does not have to be aimed precisely at the mouth to catch everything.

Battery life runs up to 10 hours, which covers a full day of filming rather than one session.

The unit is compact and light enough to clip to a shirt without dragging the fabric, and a windproof cover is included for outdoor use, where wind noise otherwise ruins takes that cannot be repeated.

The box includes the receiver, a USB charging cable and the windproof cover.

Two versions are available: Lightning for iPhone 8 through 14, and Type-C for iPhone 15, 16 and 17 and Android phones. Check which connector your phone uses before ordering.

How to use

1. Charge the microphone and receiver before first use.
2. Plug the receiver into your phone's charging port. It connects automatically with no app or pairing step.
3. Clip the microphone to your collar, roughly a hand's width below the chin.
4. Fit the windproof cover for any outdoor filming, even in light breeze.
5. Open your camera or recording app and check the levels before the take. The phone should switch to the external mic on its own.

Care: recharge between uses rather than storing the units flat, and keep the receiver in its case so the connector pins stay clean.
